We had a New Zealand beach holiday in Waihi, and decided to take an outing to a bird sanctuary near Katikati. When I searched for other things to do in Katikati, I discovered the Haiku Pathway. It was built for the millenium, and provides a wonderful stroll. I picked it for a Something Splendid post because it is a great example of the quirky sort of thing I love to come across when traveling.
